Entry Requirements & Admissions Criteria

There are a number of requirements for you to participate in the the RESILIENT GHANA HATCHER.

Eligibility Requirements

  • You are aspiring to be the founder, co-founder, or leader of a registered start-up.
  • You have a business idea that identifies and solves a health need.
  • You are willing to commit to 6 weeks of intensive training with sessions in the evenings and some weekends.
  • You have a business idea that seeks to salvage an identified problem in Ghana.
  • You are between 19 and 35 years.
  • You have the desire to seek support, services, coaching and mentoring from the business incubator faculty and staff to transform your idea into a profitable business.
  • You have a willingness to be held accountable to program goals, receiving and accepting feedback with the capacity to implement suggestions.

Selection Criteria

We select aspiring  entrepreneurs of business ideas  based on the following criteria:

  • Venture solves a problem with a need in the market that potential customers are willing and able to pay for.
  • Potential for solving the identified problem at scale (local or national).
  • Potential for an earned revenue stream leading to sustainability in 12-18 months.
  • Sound strategy and plan for product/service development and delivery.
  • Leadership potential and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Demonstration of strong commitment for the venture area in which they plan to work.
  • Abilities and expertise among team members are required for the venture to succeed.
  • Practical skills, including problem-solving, strategic, and organizational abilities.
  • Personal integrity and a commitment to ethical behaviour.
  • Groups of people are allowed to pair up or team up and only submit one application for their team to enter the Incubator. They will be regarded as 1 entity.

What is RGH?

RGH is an abbreviation which stands for the RESILIENT GHANA HATCHER. This is a platform provided by RESILIENT GHANA to empower the entrepreneurial youth to identify, ideate and present innovative solutions to real life problems in Ghana.

What sectors of the economy does the RGH cover?

RGH is a mini-incubator that seeks to revitalise the economy post-COVID-19 and help accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In view of this, the RGH is anchored on one pillar; Health.

Who can participate in the RGH?

The hatcher is open to persons who are entrepreneurs with start-ups or persons desiring to be entrepreneurs with a business plan and are between ages 19 and 35 at the time of registration.

Can I join as an individual or as a team?

The RESILIENT GHANA HATCHER admits individual businesses into the business accelerator program. Persons can come together as a group to present a single business idea or existing business.

When and where will the hatcher be held?

The RESILIENT GHANA HATCHER will be delivered virtually over six weeks, with classes in the evenings and on weekends. Registration is open from Monday, 4th July 2022.

What is the goal of the RGH?

RGH seeks to revitalise the economy post-COVID-19 and help accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), featuring youth entrepreneurs in Ghana.
